Arabic language into English
Translating Arabic into English: a complex task due to the significant differences between the two languages.
Translating Arabic into English requires a deep understanding of Arabic culture, history, and idiomatic expressions. Arabic is a language that is deeply intertwined with Islamic culture and the history of the Middle East, which can make it challenging to accurately convey the meaning of certain phrases and expressions in English.
My experience
I have taught Arabic grammar at the university level and for the US Army and worked for the Coalition Provisional Authority of Iraq as a translator, interpreter and NGO coordinator. I have corrected Arabic-English translations of content from Arabic-language news sites Al Arabiya and Al Jazeera and edited an anthology of Iraqi poetry.
